What follows is Paul’s story, in his own words.
I wasn’t sure what to expect from Xtreme Boot Camps as I’ve heard different stories about them and my partner has been to a few. She did try and give me a heads up, but nothing can get you prepared for an experience such as what you guys provide.
I would say you have to be really up to be physically and mentally pushed so make sure you’re in the right head space before you arrive. I was as I am 50 years old and needed a real good kick up the backside to get me back on track, so whatever it took, I was prepared to follow. Not as easy as it sounds.
The tasks are physically challenging. Every day something different which works a different part of the body, but this makes the boot camp exciting. You just don’t know what’s coming from one day to the next and trust me, it’s best not too.
Adam and James are the ultimate professionals. They’re experience and their knowledge is second to none. I’ve learnt more from them in the last few days than I have reading books and mags over years. They say it as it is. They have gone through, and more in their careers, all what you will go through. They genuinely walk the walk.
The programme they have put together which you probably don’t realise until day three or four is perfectly designed for you which they have shaped to perfection.
The camaraderie you build up here with your colleagues on the camp with you is to be experienced. You go through it together, there’s loads to talk about and discuss and more importantly, you have a great laugh.
You don’t have to be fit to attend, so don’t be put off by that. The most important thing to remember is that you will be pushed hard, but if you genuinely want to make a difference in your life, physically and mentally, there is no better place to start than at your boot camp at St James Malvern.
Thanks again for all you patience, passion, knowledge and drive to make us the best we can be in such a small amount of time.
Oh and a big thanks to all the catering staff, the food they serve up every meal is of an exceptional standard.
Keep up the great work !!!!
Paul was an amazing guest. He really threw himself wholeheartedly into all of the tasks that we threw at him. As Paul says, you do not need to be fit to attend Xtreme Boot Camps but you need to be willing to be pushed harder than you have probably ever been pushed before.
